The team moves up to prepare for Noah Haberer’s punt.

I had one of the best performances of my life.

— Noah Haberer

The Marshfield High School boys soccer team took a 3-1 loss to Springfield Catholic Tuesday, Aug. 29. Even though the team took a loss, junior Noah Haberer claimed, “I had one of the best performances of my life.”

The first half of the game ended with a one point lead scored by junior Jarrett Meyer with an assist from junior Drew Barb for the Blue Jays. Meyer said, “It felt amazing as soon as Drew played me the pass. I knew I had to make the most of it…. Words can’t describe what scoring against a top level team like that feels like.”  It was not until the last 20 minutes of the second half when Catholic made their first goal. By the end of the game Catholic had a total of 25 shots with only three of them making it to the score board.
