FCA

The FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) is a Christian athlete group , that meets every Tuesday morning at 7:35 in Mrs. Whiteman’s room. There is a common misconception about the club and that is that you have to be an athlete to go to the meetings. “Everyone is welcome! You don’t have to be an athlete to come!” says senior Kollin Bailey, who sings for the club. They encourage everyone to stop by and join them. Madison Wardle also said “you don’t have to be an athlete to come. We want everyone there!” If you’re curious as to what it’s all about, Wardle says “we start with one worship song, we do a small devotion and then at the end we pray over our school and anything else that needs prayer.

To the people that may be scared, or nervous to come, Wardle says “Don’t be! We are always happy when new people come, FCA starts off our school day right and we all have a bond afterwards.” Think of it as a place to where you can just come together with students who have the same interests as yourself. You may meet new people you wouldn’t have otherwise met or even talked to if not for FCA. Sophomore Jackson Wolff was asked how they bring in new people and he said, “At FCA we attract people by posting signs on the wall and we make announcements every Tuesday morning.”

If you’re looking for something friendly to be apart of, this may be your group.
