MHS Life Group Hat Day

On Wednesday Nov. 6, the MHS Life Group held a hat day to raise funds for their club. According to the club’s sponsor Joni Reed, Life Group is “a club of people intentionally doing life together with the purpose of growing closer to God and one another.” The club meets every Thursday morning at 7:40 in Mrs. Reed’s room.

Reed said “We have already had 3 events this year where we have either joined forces with FCA or have had game nights and a hay ride. Our goal as a club is to grow closer to God, grow closer to one another, and share the Love of Jesus with others.”

The club hopes to be able to raise money to help them flourish in the school; they are a new group and are starting from scratch. Reed said,  “We want to build our account so we can provide food for our meetings on Thursday mornings and also help provide food and other supplies for our events.  Who doesn’t like food?!”

According to junior Baylee Hayes, the club is a group that is open to anyone, where students can grow in their faith through weekly Bible studies. Hayes said, “I like this club a lot, because it gives students the chance to open up and feel welcomed and also where they can learn more about God.”
