Welcome Back Gage Miers!

Gage Miers is one of the many new additions to the school staff. He teaches World History, Computer Science Essentials and Computer Science Principles. He is also the head coach for cross country and the junior varsity coach for boys basketball. Mr. Gray was a teacher here at Marshfield until retiring after last year, and Miers is the replacement for him. Miers is actually originally from Marshfield and graduated in 2010. After graduating from Drury University in 2015 and getting his degree in coaching, he coached for a year and then also took up teaching, which Miers has been doing for the past eight years. Miers moved back to Marshfield to teach because he wanted to teach in the town he grew up in, and when not working, Miers enjoys playing golf, one of his most favorite hobbies.

Miers moved back here to Marshfield recently before beginning his teaching at MHS, and he says, “My experience coming back to Marshfield Highschool as a teacher has been great. The administration and staff here are very welcoming and helpful!”

Miers’ motivation to teach here was, “Mr. Mason, because he was my English teacher in high school and I loved the way he would teach his students.”

Aaron Coleman, Newspaper
My name is Aaron, and as it's my last year here. I hope it is as good as everyone says senior year is. I'm hoping to go into film production and make movies as a career, especially because creating stories is something I enjoy doing in my own time just as a way to pass the time. I decided to take the newspaper class as a more chill experience and because I enjoy writing whether it's my own story or someone else's. I'm also involved with both Cantus and Concert Choir so the stories are bound to be good from them.
