Boys Wrestling Host the Marshfield Duals

Marshfield High School held a boys wrestling tournament on Saturday, Feb. 2.  There was a total of 26 Marshfield boys who came to wrestle. They went against Owensville, Poplar Bluff, Liberty North and St. James.

In round one, Marshfield wrestled Owensville and beat them 78-6. Then in round two, they defeated Poplar Bluff 58-20. Round three, they lost 33-39 against Liberty North. In round 4, they won against St. James 76-6. Finally, Marshfield beat Pleasant Hill 49-27 to take third place.

Marshfield boys ended up finishing the wrestling dual season with a record of 20-6. Clay Wilson, senior, also got his 150th win! Senior Jordan Irwin said, “The season was super eventful and I think we all did really good as a team and independently.”
