Super Bowl LX was played on February 8, 2026 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California where the Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots with a score ending in 29-13. The Seahawks secured their second-ever Super Bowl victory with a strong defensive performance, leading 19-0 before the Patriots scored, Yahoo Sports reported. Seattle scored the only points of the first three quarters, converting four field goals to take a 12–0 lead. In the fourth quarter, the Seahawks scored the first touchdown of the game before the Patriots responded with their own touchdown to cut the score to 19–7. With the loss, the Patriots became the first team to lose six Super Bowls.
This was the 14th Super Bowl held in California reaching over 124 million viewers making it the second largest audience in history. Bad Bunny headlined the show with appearances by Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin and Los Pleneros de la Cresta. The performance marked the first time a Latino solo artist headlined the Super Bowl halftime show and the first halftime set performed almost entirely in Spanish. Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny was officially announced as the headliner for the Halftime Show on September 28, 2025, by the NFL in partnership with Apple Music and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.
Millions of people tuned into an “alternative” Super Bowl Halftime Show. Where a MAGA-aligned group hosted an alternative halftime show in protest of the NFL-backed acts in the main event. Due to conservative backlash over the NFL’s selection of Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny for the official act. Starring headliner Kid Rock performed along with Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett. The show served as a conservative counterprogram to the official Super Bowl LX halftime show, with Kid Rock closing the event with “Bawitdaba” and a cover of “‘Til You Can’t”. It started with a guitar solo of the “Star Spangled Banner.” Gilbert performed first, playing the songs “Real American” and “Dirt Road Anthem.” At the end there was a tribute to Charlie Kirk, showing photos and videos of the late Turning Point founder.
