After how last year ended, the  MHS men’s basketball team wants to forget about it and definitely prove something this year.

The team lost one senior due to graduation, and now has seven returning seniors.: Austin Porter, Tristan Letterman, Brayden Peck, Jacobi Villines, Parker Dinwiddie, Brandon Pogue and Truett Gardner. Trenton Kanengieter will also be on the roster but he is out for the rest of the season due to a torn ACL injury.

New coach Adam Carpenter, assistant from Evangel University, takes over as head coach this year and has been working with the team since June. According to Ozark Sports Zone, Carpenter stated, “Your first year at a place is so much about the culture. You have to get in their heads and understand what they’ve experienced. The program has always been competitive. I’m trying to set a really high bar and help them understand that there is no reason why Marshfield can’t be a top team in the district and conference consistently.”
