On Tues. Nov, 13, the Marshfield basketball teams hosted an event full of fun. Both the girls and boys team scrimmaged to start off the event. The Jaywalkers and the Cheerleaders both performed during the night. Sophomore Jaysa Nissen was really excited for the night. She said, “I’m ready to start the basketball season and I hope it’s really entertaining.” Nissen was ready to perform for her classmates and her community.

After the teams played, they had a dance off. The dance off winner was decided by how loud the fans cheered for each team, the boys team took the crown this year. After the game, senior Jacobi Villines said, “Moonlight Madness was really fun, and it’s really exciting to see the community show up and support us and what we’re trying to do.” Sophomore Alyssa Mitchell was in the stands to watch the event. Afterword she said, “I thought it was fun for everybody to come out and meet the players and just watch everyone have fun.”

The boys team kickoffs the regular season in the Republic Tournament, while the girls start their season off in Ash Grove, both games take place on the Nov. 26.
