On March 27, Nintendo held another direct, showcasing Switch games that would be releasing within the next year. Out of all the games teased, there are three that I’m looking forward to the most.
The first game I’m excited for is “STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar,” which releases on August 27 of this year. While the game is just a remake of a previous Harvest Moon game for the DS, it’s one I haven’t played. Each game has different characters and mechanics so I’m excited to see what’s new to the table for this upcoming game. I was honestly hoping for a different Harvest Moon game to be remade but I’m still looking forward to adding this one to my collection.
Next is “Pokémon Legends: Z-A.” I have yet to finish “Legends: Arceus,” but I still cannot wait for this game to be released. X and Y are definitely my favorite mainline games and I was so happy to find out the newest release would be back in that region. Every piece of gameplay and new features that gets revealed just adds to the general hype I have for this game and while the official release date isn’t out yet, later this year could not come sooner.
Lastly, I’ll talk about the game that probably got the most excitement from the direct, “Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream.” Out of all the games that were released on the 3DS the original “Tomodachi Life” is probably the one that people wanted to release on the Switch the most, and almost 11 years after the games release, a Switch game was finally announced. I lost my copy of “Tomodachi Life” but it was one of my favorite games that I played on the system and hearing the announcement of a new game really added to my excitement for the upcoming games. I’ll definitely be making time to play the game once it releases next year.
