Future Business Leaders of America went to Districts in Bolivar Friday, Feb 9. Five Marshfield High School students placed and three made it to state.

To qualify for state, individual competitors must place in the top 5 and team competitors must place first.

Marshfields individual competitors that placed and qualified for State are seniors Lucas Reynolds placing 4th in network marketing and 5th in computer problem solving, Wyatt Greer placing 5 in Agribusiness and Savannah Clair placing 6 in Journalism. Clair was sent to State because a competitor who made the top 5 decided to drop out.

Marshfield’s team competitors were seniors Ally Ayers, Savannah Clair and junior Kollin Bailey placing 5 in Broadcast Journalism.

“I was surprised. I didn’t think we were gonna place. We procrastinated until the day before to write out script [and] we had some technical difficulties when we presented, but we pulled through,” said Bailey.

As these Marshfield Blue Jays students soar to State we will wish them the best of luck.
