On September 28, 2017 the football team, soccer team, girls golf team, and many more teams took part in the community pep rally at the football field after the parade and everyone was involved. The community pep rally kicked off all pep rallies including the mini pep assemblies at all the schools. The younger students that play football had a chance to run on the field and high five the football team. Coach Kaderly and Coach Ragsdale participated in a 3 legged race against Coach Wright and new wide receiver coach, Coach Patterson. The homecoming court drove Corvettes and convertibles to the football field for the pep rally. Before the pep rally, there was a parade. Candy was thrown and high fives were passed around.
