MHS Halloween Costume & Homecoming Spirit Week

As the spooky season is upon us, it’s the time for costumes. We surveyed the school to see what costumes are the favorite.

The costume that has the most votes in popularity among the school is inflatable costumes, at 29.4% of the votes. The second most popular, with 13.7%, is sheet ghost costumes.

About 13% chose other. Ghost Face from “Scream” or various characters from horror movies like “Halloween” as their favorite costumes. Another set of students said characters from shows and movies in general like Lilo and Stitch.

Students dress up as minions for Minion day during Homecoming week.

Without trick or treating, students recently had the opportunity to dress up for Homecoming spirt days: Teen Surfers (Surfers VS Bikers), Grown Ups (Adam Sandler), 13 going on 30 (Teachers Dress as Students and Students Dress as Teachers), and Minions in Marshfield (Dress as a Minion). The most favorite day was Adam Sandler.

This is my first and only year of newspaper, as I'm a senior this year. I've been involved in many sports. My favorite are ones that deal with public speaking. I have done speech and debate since my freshmen year, though I've decided to step down from doing it for a similar sport called Mock Trial. I also had done FCCLA (Future Community and Career Leaders of America). The reason I originally joined was for a credit and I couldn't do yearbook. Since joining, it's been so fun and interesting and I can't wait!
