Valentine’s Day has passed, but we love some music. We looked at the top 5 best love songs according to Billboard. 

Number 5: “We Found Love” by Rihanna featuring Calvin Harris 

The song was first released in 2011 on YouTube, the video has 1B views. According to the website songmeanings.com, the song is about how love can be addicting, even when you know the person isn’t right for you. I personally think the song is a good song, it hit me with a lot of nostalgia. Staff member, Kaylee Wallace said that the song is really catchy. 

Number 4: “If I ain’t got You” by Alicia Keys 

The song was released in 2004. It was posted on YouTube in 2009 and got 290 million views. The song is about being so deep in love that it feels like you have nothing without that person. I like the melody but I feel like the song is a little overrated. Wallace said the song isn’t very catchy and not her thing. 

Number 3: “Thinkin’ ‘bout you” by Frank Ocean. 

The song was released in 2012, it has 42 Million views on YouTube. It’s about a guy who falls for a girl who he never fell for before. I did not like this song I feel like it should be in the number 5 spot instead. Wallace doesn’t like the song but likes the voice. 

Number 2: “We Belong Together” by Mariah Carey 

The song was released in 2005 and was posted on YouTube in 2009 and got 562 Million views on YouTube. The song is about heartbreak and how Carey thinks she belongs with her ex instead of apart. I think the song is sweet and has a nice beat. Wallace also thinks the song has a nice beat, and catchy 

Number 1: “Love On Top” by Beyoncé 

The song was released in 2011 and has 516 Million views on YouTube. The song is about how a man in her life can do no wrong in her eyes. I really like the song’s beat and I like how Jazzy it is. Wallace says the song is catchy and loves Beyoncé’s vocals.
