DIYS That Will Make Your Heart Flutter

In December there were some Christmas DIYS that could make for a quick festive decoration. Now, these are some Valentine’s day DIYS that you could hand out to friends and any other important people in your life. 

Gum wrapper heart- 

This craft can make a cute and easy gift for your friends and family.

Materials: Gum wrapper, glue or tape (optional)

Steps:

  1. Completely open out the gum wrapper.
  2. Fold the gum wrapper into the original folding leaving the two small top and bottom flaps unfolded.
  3. Fold in the small corner flaps to to the center to make a small triangle on both sides of the wrapper.
  4. Take one of the sides and fold upwards at the middle. This makes a type of L shape.
  5. Repeat, align with the other side.
  6. If desired, fold any small points to round out the edges.

 

Origami envelope-

This craft can be used to pass a small note to your friends in a special way.

Materials: Rectangular piece of paper, glue (optional) 

Steps:

  1.  Make the paper horizontal.
  2. Fold the top two corners to the middle making a triangle.
  3. Fold the bottom side up to the bottom of the triangle you just created.
  4.  Fold the bottom again at the space between the triangle and the rectangle.
  5. Fold the tip of the triangle down to the bottom of the paper.  
  6. Fold the two sides of the bottom towards the middle. Use the outer corners of the triangle as a folding point. You should have a rectangle.
  7. Fold the sides towards the outer edges at a 45 degree angle. (see picture below)
  8. Fold the triangle down and tuck into the bottom flap.
