On Friday, October 5, the new movie “Venom” was released. The movie has been a hit for the fans but not so much for the critics. The movie has scored a lousy 31% on the Rotten Tomatoes meter, although it has scored a good 88% on the audience score. An important thing to realize is that the critics score is not always reliable. They pick on every asset of the film by quality or just the smallest details. An average viewer doesn’t care about those type of details and usually looks over them. My opinion on the movie is similar to most viewers. It was very entertaining and definitely worth the watch!

It starts out with the main character, Eddie Brock, as a journalist trying to take down Carlton Drake, the founder of the company of “The Life Foundation.” Brock believes he’s hiding something from the public, something illegal. When Brock sneaks into one of Drake’s labs, he merges with the alien Venom. It takes Brock some time to get use to the relationship with the venom as it has its own mind and personality. With the help of Venom, Brock is more determined than ever to take down Drake.

I would give the movie a 8/10. Some of the special effects were a little cheap from my point of view at least. But I loved seeing Tom Hardy playing the role of Eddie Brock/Venom. If you are still unsure on whether or not to watch “Venom,” don’t be! Watch it now!
