The MHS soccer team kicked there way into a win against Cassville Monday, September 10. Throughout whole game, there were missed shots, and it wasn’t looking good. Halfway through the game, Cassville scored making the score 1 – 0 which stayed the same for the whole game, all the way up to four minutes left. Then foreign exchange student, junior Ricardo Turibio, scored to tie the game 1 – 1. After 90 minutes passed, the score remained tied 1 – 1.

Then they go into overtime where there are two 10 minute halves, if the score is still tied after that, they go into PK’s. That’s where they pick five players from each team and whoever kicks the most goals after that wins the game. If it’s still tied then the game results in a tie.

Four minutes into overtime, senior Jarrett Meyer, who also kicks for the MHS football team, scored the winning goal to make the game 2 – 1. It wasn’t looking good at first but then they pulled away with a win.
