Marshfield, Mo – Stephen Rippee is currently the young adult pastor at The Well Springfield. He has been preaching there for around 1 year now. Soon Rippee plans on stepping down as the young adult pastor to help run the new Potter’s House coffee shop that is coming soon to The Well.

Stephen has had quite a life. Rippee grew up in Hartville, Missouri. A small town where everyone knows everyone. Stephen grew up hating church. He grew up as a catholic and always dreaded going to church. “I always hoped that my mom wouldn’t get up in time so we didn’t have to go” said Rippee.

Stephen was always a good kid, he never went off and drank or did drugs, but he did have struggles growing up. Rippee’s parents got divorced when Stephen was only five, and it wasn’t a pretty divorce. “Imagine the definition of an ugly divorce, that’s exactly what it was” Rippee said. Having to go from one house to another really tore Stephen apart at times.

Rippee did survive his childhood though, and he went on to go to Evangel University for college. That’s where he received the call to be a pastor. At that time he was just going to be a youth pastor but little did he know later on he would be called to be a young adult pastor.

Through Stephen’s ministry, he has been able to impact the lives of many youth and young adults, and even my life. Rippee is a world changer, and will continue to be one no matter where he ends up at.
