March 30, senior Mikahla Brinkley made two different types of spaghetti, breadsticks, salad, three different types of cobbler, two different types of cake, sweet and unsweet tea and lemonade for anyone who was hungry. The cost? Nothing.

For her senior project Brinkley “wanted to provide a free meal for the community on a day when there was no school.” 60 people from the community showed up and participated in her event including myself.

Walking in I was welcomed with smiles and friendly greetings. They offered me a variety of choices including spaghetti with and without meat. They filled my plate and talked with me as I ate. I was informed that all the food besides the cobbler, which was made the night before, was made that morning and that they had been working all day on it. They sent many home with to go boxes filled to the top with food.

Brinkley made Good Friday even better with her senior project.
