The end of the year is coming and that means senior projects are starting to wrap up and with senior Hannah Robinson, who recently had done her senior project on Saturday March 31, 2018. Robinson held an open mic night for her senior project at Big Mama’s Coffee and Espresso Bar. There were 14 performances at Big Mama’s with many talented people at our school who performed at Robinson’s open mic night.

“The open mic night went way better than I could have asked for. So many people showed up. We had to access 10 extra chairs and some people still had to stand. Every performer did amazing and every guest loved the food, drinks and entertainment the entire night,” Robinson said.

Robinson had also mentioned that the best part of the night was “simply the performers.” With practically a full house at Big Mama’s, people seemed to be entertained and happy with how the night went.

“I simply know so many people who have so many amazing talents, whether band, choir, comedy, performing, art, improvisation, the list goes on, and I just really wanted to have a time where we could all get together, perform our talents in a relaxed and freeing way and just simply have a great time together doing the things we love for people who don’t get to see it very often. We have endless amounts of basketball games, football games, etc. But nights like this for performers like us, don’t come often,” Robinson said about what inspired her to do this for her project.

Robinson has given people with talents an opportunity to show their skills to other people and that came with a very successful night for the future Robinson will be attending Evangel University majoring in music and minoring in pastoral ministries.

There are still other senior projects still happening and senior showcase will be on April 18, 2018. The showcase will be all the seniors who did the senior project and presenting their projects to others, so come and support your fellow Bluejays!
