Among the recent harsh and bipolar weather, there was a speech and debate tournament in Columbia, Missouri at Rock Bridge High School on Feb. 9 and 10. There were 19 schools competing, but due to the weather, half-way through the tournament it was cancelled on Feb. 10.

Before the tournament was cancelled Marshfield students placed. Junior Tatum Manery took first in Storytelling and Junior Holly Smith third in Storytelling. In Radio, seniors Seth Graham took third and Michael Graves took fifth.

Senior Parker Rader took fourth in POI and fifth in Prose. Graves had also took fourth in regular LD and Graham took second in Original Oratory. This is one of the last tournaments before Speech and Debate go to districts, so come and support our speech and debate team at the next tournament on March 3 at MSU.
