Reagan Smith, freshman, runs her way into State for Cross Country. The event will be held at Oak Hills Golf Course in Jefferson City. on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017.

Smith says she’s worried because, “It’s a new race that I’ve never ran before and more people (important people) will be there to watch it.”

Smith had also said after the qualifying race she had, “fell over, but when I got back up and that there were only a few girls in front of me and I made it, then I cried and hugged my mom and coach.” Smith has made quite an impression going to state as a freshman.

Smith says her plans are to push herself and to get better and faster. For those students who plan on doing Cross Country in the future Smith advises, “It’s hard and you’ll push yourself harder than you have before, but it’s worth it in the end.”
